Not built yet · I'm assembling it now
I'm building a wire bender. Want to know when it works?
It's a machine that strips, cuts and bends breadboard jumper wires from a layout file. What you've seen in the videos is a render or a simulation. The real one isn't finished and it might not work the first time. If it does, the people on this list hear first. Same if I ever release plans.
A short welcome, then one email when the wire bender makes its first real bend, build updates when something real happens, and now and then news about my Logic Frame pieces, like a holiday drop (about two emails a month at most). If I ever release plans or a kit, the list hears first. Unsubscribe anytime. You'll get one email to confirm first.

Render made from my CAD files, not a photo.
What you asked in the comments
A bunch of you asked if the plans will be open source. One person said they'd pay for them.Instagram comments, paraphrased
A few of you want the STL files so you can print your own.Instagram comments, paraphrased
Someone who builds breadboard circuits pointed out that one program per wire makes a bad bend easy to track down. Yep, that's the idea.Instagram comment, paraphrased
What should I make or explain next?
These come from your comments. Vote for what you want, or leave me a message. I read everything. Nothing here is a promise and nothing is for sale on this page.

While you wait
A Logic Frame, on a wall
The wire bender is for making these. A Logic Frame is three breadboards, eight real logic chips and about 90 wires I bend by hand, behind glass in a frame. It's for looking at. No power, the LEDs don't light, and it doesn't compute.
